![]() Most people i teach are people who comes from maya or that took one of our graphic design courses, or even people from autocad, i teach around 70 pieces of software and the very few that destroy a feature, like maya, cinema 4d, zbrush, autocad, inventor, afterfx, even photoshop, sends a warning.Įxample, you have a subd-mesh with creases, you convert it to a subdivision surface and it warns in a big fat red text, creases are not supported when converting from subd-meshes to subdivision surfaces. If something works and then somehow stops working, without warning the user, it seems like a bug, no matter how much of a feature it sounds to people that coded blender. i wish i had it, i would be making my own blender. ![]() I have absolutely no knowledge on blender's inner workings and i can't imagine, as a user, why would it matter if you have a programming background. but it seems it should'nt be like that and report got simply closed. having 2d fillable splines htat can be transformed in 3d using edit mode, seounds to me like an absolute fine idea to have. i reported the bug, thinking that was a nice feature to have, but they didn't even knew how it happened and asked me how i did it. i once had a 2d spline that could be transformed in 3d space, in edit mode. Sometimes it fails within the first three minutes, sometimes it happens when you save, sometimes it happens when you open a file. notice i never touched the radius, like i mentioned in my last three bug reports, spline objects are full of pitfalls that only people that use them on a daily basis find. nothing happens on the duplicated segments. change spline to 2d, chose fill method to both. that's what i reported last time as a bug. ctrl+a to select all and move it to the left with x. 1 to enter edit mode and used the pen to trace the logo. i am uing the industry standard keymap, so i push e to rotate, drag the red ring to rotate object and pushed 9+0 to rotate it 90 degrees. ![]() alt+tab to a window with the desktop opened and drag the file. open image in paint and save it as png on desktop. windows key to open paint, since blender doesn't open webp from drag and drop. alt+tab to edge, google for "black and white logo" and saved an apple logo image to the desktop once open, i clicked on splash screen "general" button, like i always do when i want a new file. Now, what i did in the file i sent, the exact steps are:
